TOUR DATES - COMING SOON

For Booking

Beth is a multi-faceted, award winning, creative force best known as the creator of the legendarily innovative, long running and critically acclaimed UnCabaret (Comedy Central, Amazon, Sirius etc).

It’s A Lot is a hilarious and heartfelt solo show by Beth Lapides about living through—and creating— change. About grabbing the universe by the tail and riding the sparkle.

Funny, intimate, and deeply human It’s A Lot was born out of a successful career of UnCabaret being un and profound personal change.… it being a lot right now.

Deeply personal, riffing on the new age.

As the host and producer of UnCabaret - unhomophobic, unmysogynstic, unxenophobic and unhacky - she has worked with some of the most notable iconoclastic names in comedy and entertainment. And The LA Times calls her the “godmother of alternative comedy!” Her role as a driving force in modern comedy has been covered on PBS, CNN and in Bob Odenkirk and Jesse David Fox’s books.

BETH LAPIDES

Beth brought her skills as a storyteller, interviewer and broadcaster to her original audiobook, So You Need To Decide, which was on Vulture’s Best Comedy Books of 2022 list. Variety called it ‘a potentially life-changing treasure!

What People Are Saying

“More than the Godmother of Alternative Comedy, Beth Lapides is a cultural treasure whose storytelling skills are topped only by her ability to attract and inspire other storytellers to innovate and create at their highest levels. I’ve had the good fortune of watching Beth’s latest solo show, It’s A Lot, through several iterations, and it is pure delight. With her trademark wit and musical flare, she plumbs the depths of her own colorful history, mining stories that are as relatable as they are entertaining as they are transformative.”

— Corny Koehl
Emmy Award Winning Producer Co-Creator “Super Soul Sunday”

“When I went to see Beth Lapides’s new show, IT’S A LOT, I knew I was going to hear some very big ideas. I also knew that I would laugh (a lot) and that I would think about it (a lot) for a long time after. I was right. IT’S A LOT is filled with huge ideas about Transformation and the struggle to live in the world. It’s also wildly funny. The only way I can describe what Beth Lapides does onstage is to call her a “stand-up philosopher.”

— Tracy Poust
Executive Producer “Will & Grace”

“Beth is an inspired storyteller! In It’s A Lot’s funny stories and songs, she reveals how she navigates her way through change and the divine struggle of transformation .”
