Did I Wake You? Haikus for Modern Living

BUY on AMAZON

Did I Wake You? revolutionized the haiku/comedy crossover.

It takes an eclectic mix of genres — haiku, humor, self-help, and anti-self-help — and rolls them into one whimsical, slightly hostile, and strangely inspirational volume. The book grew out of her UnCabaret performances and its spin off show “Say The Word” in which, writers from Emmy-winning shows like Seinfeld, The Simpsons, Modern Love, Sex & The City, Frasier, Will & Grace etc read the stories of there lives. In this rarefied company, Lapides wowed the audience with haiku about brand names and boyfriends, grocery stores and gynecologists.
